Traveling is one of the greatest services we can do for ourselves. It is a classroom for life that can be both affordable and done with a large budget. Personally, I am looking at the calendar this year and beginning to plan. This goes for a family trip, and hopefully another with my spouse, and one with girlfriends. I always appreciate, while traveling and after returning, the feelings from experiences I have had in connecting with others, learning from different cultures, and challenging myself to grow. Although I would describe myself as an adventurer I like relaxing and recharging. So, for the many types of travels that exist I found the New York Times had a nice article, describing through pictures and words ,the 52 Places to Go in 2018. There is a good range of destinations with a handful in the United States and many abroad. You can find history and museums as well as novel forms of technology, transportation, and places to eat. And for most spots they provide links for lodging, activities, and even volunteer work. I hope it is one of many articles you read on travel and that you take the opportunity to get away for a weekend or longer and dive into worthwhile experiences that can enrich your life. I am still in the early planning stage but I personally find so much value in traveling, and hope you have the opportunity to get away this year too.
For local spots around Los Angeles check out the December issue of the Los Angeles Magazine. This last month went by so fast with holidays and multiple birthdays in my family, so I’m still in catch up mode and this magazine is currently in my rotation of bedside reading. Cheers to new travels in 2018:)
